Most personal computers can generate a wide variety of presentation aids. They can be used to develop sketches, maps, graphs, charts, and textual graphics for handouts, slides, and transparencies. Materials produced on computers are usually much neater and more accurate than those done by hand and can be prepared more quickly. Presentation software programs such as PowerPoint, Persuasion, or Harvard Graphics are available for use on most computers.

provides reviews and links for software available online. These programs are either free or reasonably priced. At the time of this writing, the highest-rated shareware programs are IconForge, with a rating of 98, IrFanView, with a rating of 95; and Snaglt, with a rating of 95. Specialized publications sponsored by computer and software manufacturers, such as Presentations.Com , are available free or for minimal cost both online and in hard-copy versions.23 Your campus computer lab may have training programs to help you learn how to access and use these materials.
